I keep a lookout for resources that cover:
• basic information about a condition,
• the diagnostic process and how to talk to your doctor,
• management of symptoms, and treatments,
• how to cope with everyday life (the stuff that falls outside of what a doctor will tell you; e.g. assistive tools for cooking),
• how to cope at work,
• how to talk to family and friends about your condition, and,
• mental wellbeing.
Conditions that I'm always on the lookout for resources for*:
• Fibromyalgia, complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS), and other chronic pain disorders
• Myalgic encephalomyelitis / chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS)
• Long-COVID
• Arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis
• Ehlers Danlos syndromes (EDS) and Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder
• Asthma and COPD
• Chrohns, IBD, IBS, and other GI disorders
• POTS and other types of dysautonomia
• Epilepsy and other seizure disorders
• Diabetes
• Endometriosis
• Polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome (PMOS) / polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS)
• Multiple sclerosis (MS)
* This list is based on what I have seen people looking for most often, but it is by no means a complete list. I'm always open to requests or suggestions so if you would like to see resources for a condition that's not on this list, please let me know. You can contact me at [email protected]
